Portland Timbers is proud to host the city's Soccer Celebration event, with support from partners adidas and McDonald's. The event will include interactive activities, local food carts, merchandise stands, fan giveaways, and live viewings of select FIFA World Cup 26 matches on large screens. The Timbers said the events are free to attend for fans of all ages. "The Timbers are proud to host the city's Soccer Celebration event, with support from our partners and the city of Portland," said Portland Timbers CEO Heather Davis. "This will be a fun and engaging space to enjoy the world's biggest sporting event right in the heart of downtown. We're really excited to bring fans from all walks of life together for an unforgettable weekend at Pioneer Courthouse Square." The Timbers said club personnel will be on site during the event, and that local food carts and merchandise stands will be available as Portland celebrates the international tournament and its athletes. Another place hosting watch parties in Portland is German pub Prost!—exclamation mark included. Dan Hart, owner of Prost! said his business is also preparing for World Cup crowds with what he described as "Soccer Haus," a space for fans to watch matches and gather throughout the summer. "We launched off last weekend a big project that we did with Nike," Hart said. "It was a special thing between USA and Germany that we wanted to throw a massive event in a lead up for the summer of soccer, is what we're calling it, creating Soccer Haus—a place for all summerlong where you can watch all the games and have a great time and have a great community around it." Hart said the pub is adding more screens for match viewing. "We got jumbo TVs everywhere," he said, adding, "We got a brand new 100 inch TV installed out here in the first marketplace. And a few more TVs inside for us. We're ready to go to host all the matches." He said fans hoping for a prime viewing spot for popular games should plan ahead. "If you want to get a prime seat, yeah, you're definitely going to want to show up early," Hart said. Hart also said Prost! has food available inside the pub and additional options outside. "We've got our food that we do inside of the pub, but we have 10 food carts outside here," he said. He said the pub has also been working with a local soccer jersey
